Our wooden windows make use of the European Turn and Tilt system which eliminates the old problems associated with timber joinery such as drafts, security issues, sashes jamming on frames and condensation.
By turning the window or door handle to the top position the sash is engaged in tilt mode, allowing the window to tilt inwards at the top to create cross ventilation without compromising security.
By turning the handle to the horizontal position, the sash is engaged in turn mode. This allows the window to turn as in a normal inward opening side hung situation for maximum ventilation. This inward opening action allows for the easy cleaning of upstairs windows.
With the handle in the downward position the window or door sash is compressed against a silicone/rubber gasket and the frame, leaving the unit completely sealed and locked in at least three places.
